I picked up two of these to swordplay with my 9 year old. They hold up as well as other bokkens. Any bokken after extended play will break. But you can always hockey tape and keep going, or for their low price pick up a few extra.

Strictly as the title says "Decorative" If you try to use it in real training, it will break on the first contact. It is nice to look at though.
